Airport or station pickup and check-in near the ghats. In the evening, a private boat for the Dashashwamedh Ganga aarti, watched from the water, followed by dinner on the terrace.
Two sacred cities, one seamless drive
This is the pairing our travellers ask for most. Varanasi gives you the river, the corridor and the lanes; Ayodhya gives you the newest great temple in India and a riverfront that has just been rebuilt around it. They are 220 kilometres apart, which is a comfortable morning on the road.
Running them together also solves the practical problem. Ayodhya has an airport but limited connections, and Varanasi has plenty. We pick you up at Varanasi, keep the same vehicle and driver for five days, and drop you at Ayodhya, Lucknow or back at Varanasi depending on your onward booking.

A 5.30 a.m. boat from Assi past all eighty-four ghats, then Kashi Vishwanath darshan through the corridor and the temples of the inner lanes. Sarnath in the afternoon for the stupa and museum.
A morning transfer of about five hours. Check in, then Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan in the late afternoon, ending at Nayaghat for the sunset Saryu aarti.
Early darshan at the Ram Mandir, when the queues are shortest, then Dashrath Mahal and Nageshwarnath. A free afternoon, and Ram Ki Paidi and Lata Chowk in the evening.
A last quiet morning at Guptar Ghat, then a drop at Ayodhya Dham junction, Ayodhya airport or Lucknow, whichever your onward ticket needs.
This is how the tour usually runs, not a contract. Every itinerary is rewritten around your dates, your pace and your group — tell us what you want to change and we will rebuild it.

Yes, and it works well if you are flying into Lucknow. The itinerary simply runs in reverse and the price does not change.
Yes - it is about two and a half hours from Ayodhya, and it is included in the package as a drop option. Tell us at booking so the driver plans the last day around your flight.
It is the right length. Varanasi needs two nights minimum and Ayodhya works well on two. If you want a free day in Varanasi for the lanes, add a night - most people who do are glad they did.
