Gaya is where Hindu families come to perform pind daan - the rites offered for ancestors - and it has been doing that job for well over a thousand years. The Vishnupad temple sits on the bank of the Falgu, built around a footprint in the rock, and the ritual sites spread out from it across the town.
It is not a sightseeing destination in the usual sense. Most of our guests come with a purpose, and the value we add is in the arrangements: the right panda, the correct sequence, the materials, and a vehicle waiting when the rites are done.

The one-day form takes a single morning. The traditional three-day and seventeen-day forms are also possible - tell us which you intend and we will plan around it.
Almost everyone does. Bodhgaya is thirteen kilometres away, so we usually add it as a half day after the rites are complete.
